Important Guidelines for Scientific Speakers

  • 01
Presentations must be scientifically sound, evidence-based and relevant to the approved topic.
  • 02
The name of any sponsoring company, commercial organisation, brand or product must not appear in the presentation title, abstract, speaker introduction or promotional material.
  • 03
Presentations should be prepared in English, preferably in a 16:9 widescreen format, with clear and easily readable slides.
  • 04
Speakers must use their own laptops with a standard HDMI output. Those requiring an adapter or converter must carry their own, along with the laptop charger. The organisers cannot guarantee the availability of adapters.
  • 05
Speakers are not required to submit their final presentations in advance. However, a backup copy should be carried on a USB drive.
  • 06
All speakers must report to the designated hall at least 30 minutes before their session for attendance confirmation and an audiovisual check.
  • 07
Speakers must strictly adhere to the allotted presentation time. Session chairpersons may conclude presentations that exceed the scheduled duration.
  • 08
A conflict-of-interest disclosure must appear on the first or second slide. Patient confidentiality, informed consent and copyright requirements must be strictly observed.
